Support FPL Edge
FPL Edge is free to use, carries no adverts and sells no data. It is paid for by the person who runs it, by those who buy Pro, and by anyone who chooses to chip in.
What it costs to run
- Hosting on Vercel's Pro plan, from $20 a month, plus usage: every page is built on a server, and a scheduled job runs every minute to keep data fresh before anyone asks for it.
- A Redis database on Upstash, paid by the command: every page reads it, and it holds the cached FPL data that keeps our requests to FPL down. Busy gameweeks cost the most.
- The domain, and the time to keep up with FPL changing its API, usually without notice.
The costs rise with use: more visitors means more pages built and more leagues read. Donations go towards them first.
Chip in
